The main airport in Liverpool is the Liverpool John Lennon Airport. The Airport is located close to the River Mersey and to the south of the city itself. It is named after the famous Beatles band member John Lennon who was also a peace activist. There are many domestic flights available and also a vast range of international flights to Europe, North Africa and also some to North America.
The prospect for the Airport was extremely good during the mid noughties but towards 2009 onwards there has been some decline in the number of passengers using the services.
Some of the most noticeable Airlines offering flights are Easy Jet, Ryan Air, KLM and Eastern Airways. Amsterdam, Malaga, Barcelona, Dublin and Paris are the most popular destinations amongst customers.
The Airport is also used by organisations such as Mersey Flight and the Liverpool Flying School in carrying out flying lessons and instructions.
As part of our service to customers, Liverpool Minibus and Coach Hire can offer a pick up and drop off service to and from the Airport. This is highly convenient as even though there are regular bus links, there is no railway station close to the Airport and the best form of transport is by car via M57 and M62 Motorways.
